“ This place is such a gem!! My daughter was in Edinburgh for two months this past summer and this quickly became her favorite place for coffee and sweet treats. We visited at the end of her two months and can say for ourselves that we understood why she loved it so much! The Biscoff buns and donuts are amazing!! I wish we had time to try more and definitely plan to return when we visit Edinburgh in the future! Also, the staff were so friendly and kind. When you’re there, you just feel relaxed and happy! ”

“ Absolutely 5-stars for this coffee shop! My husband and I visited before getting our train home after 3 days in Edinburgh. The coffee was out of this world. It's not often you go somewhere outside of London that has coffee from European roasters, so it was wonderful to find DAK coffee there. The two baristas could not have been nicer. They were extremely friendly as soon as we arrived, and were happy to chat to us about the coffee and other coffee-related things while we were there. (No, they weren't chatting and slacking off - they were still working!). I had a vegan cinnamon bun which was delicious. I was hoping they might have had more merch (which I saw on their Instagram), but they only had bags of coffee and a tote. Really nice environment, calm, quiet and other customers were friendly. I really liked the idea that you can only use a laptop for an hour in there - it stops people hogging tables! What else? I think that's it. We will definitely be returning to this coffee shop when back in Edinburgh. Thanks for the amazing coffee and hospitality! ”

The barista is a serious and focussed man who pays close attention to the detail of his trade, and the man at the counter was charming, knowledgeable and welcoming. Overall a great combination. This place was a little tricky to find because google maps wasn’t clear that the shop is on the lower road, but persevere it is worth it. ”
